The goal is to build EVs that have a real-world driving range between 300 and 500 miles and a fast-charging ability of 20 miles per minute.

There aren’t a lot of details about the new RAM 1500 EV, although your local RAM dealership should be up-to-date as more information emerges. We do know that RAM is sticking with the body-on-frame construction and standard all-wheel drive. This half-ton pickup should resemble the RAM trucks we already know and love, with, of course, modern updates like semi-autonomous driving and more.
RAM hasn’t said how much this truck will tow, but it promises the highest towing capacity available. Considering that the Ford Lightning claims a max towing capacity of 10,000 pounds, we can expect some impressive stats from the RAM 1500 EV.
As of right now, RAM is shooting for this EV to have a driving range closer to 500 miles, which is 200 miles more than Ford’s EV can handle.
