Have $10,000 Here are 5 Used Cars Worth Buying

The used car market continues to go up and down, and there are tons of used cars out there that you could spend thousands of dollars on, but this doesn’t mean you have to. Have you been saving and have $10,000 to spend? You’re in luck because there are many reliable choices right within this price range. From coupes to sedans and a cross between a sedan and SUV, take a look at five cars worth spending $10,000 on.

The Toyota Camry

It’s probably not a surprise to see the Toyota Camry at the top of this list. Toyotas just seem to last forever, which means you can find an older Camry with some miles on it for $10,000, and it will still be going strong. The 2012 Camry is a good year to start with. It was a good buy when it was new, and it is still a great choice. You can get the XLE trim, which comes loaded with features and equipment.

The Honda Accord

Again, it’s probably not a surprise to see the Accord on this list. It’s another reliability superstar. A 2011 Honda Accord EX or EX-L will sit well under $10,000 and you can feel upscale with leather upholstery, fog lights, and a sunroof. This is an older model, so it doesn’t have those advanced driver aids that can practically drive the car for you, but it still has plenty of safety systems such as traction and stability control, anti-lock brakes and an anti-theft system.

The Toyota Corolla

Like a compact? If you’re looking for used cars that are a little smaller than the Camry or Accord, check out the Toyota Corolla. A 2012 Corolla, to be specific. It gets power from a 132-horsepower engine that will go for well over 200,000 miles. Find an LE, and you’ve got steering wheel controls for the stereo system, a USB port to connect your phone, and Bluetooth connectivity. And what’s even better is you won’t even have to spend the entire $10,000. There are Corollas available for well under that amount.

The Subaru Outback

Looking for something a little larger than the typical sedan? You’ve probably seen the Subaru Outback. It’s kind of a cross between a sedan, wagon, and SUV. It has more ground clearance than your average sedan, and it’s a Subaru, so of course, all-wheel drive comes standard. It’s not unheard of to find a 2013 Subaru Outback for $10,000 or under. The 2.5i Premium or Limited both come loaded with features such as leather upholstery and a Harmon Kardon stereo system.

The Ford Fusion

The last model on this list is the Ford Fusion. It’s really the perfect size, with room for five and a trim and powertrain for everyone. Not only does it have the gas engine, but you can still find the hybrid and PHEV models going strong. The 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium will still fall within the $10,000 price range and gets you features such as heated front seats, the SYNC infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, and satellite radio. If safety is on your mind, it even has adaptive cruise control and Active Park Assist.
