What’s New for the 2024 Yukon

The GMC Yukon. It’s big, it’s bold, and to top it all off, it’s downright luxurious on the inside. The 2024 Yukon is about to hit dealership lots, so what can we expect from this latest model year? Well, it’s just about the same as the 2023. But that’s okay because there are a lot of good things to talk about with the GMC Yukon, even with minimal change for 2024. Take a look.

How Much Power Does the Yukon Have?

The GMC Yukon is a massive vehicle, so it’s no surprise that it needs a lineup of strong engines to power it. The base powertrain is a 5.3-liter V-8 that gets you 355 horsepower. The other option is a 6.2-liter V-8 that delivers 420 horsepower. Whether you have a Yukon with a 5.3-liter or a 6.2-liter, it will work with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

So, what can you do with all this power? Tow! When equipped with the tow package and rear-wheel drive, the GMC Yukon can pull up to 8,400 pounds.

What is the Denali Ultimate?

The Denali Ultimate was the big update for the 2024 GMC Yukon. This new trim took all the luxury features from the Denali and made it even more luxurious. It even adds an appearance package with chrome trim, black GMC badging, and 22-inch alloy wheels. The Denali Ultimate makes getting in and out of the large vehicle easier with power-deployable side assist steps and brings more light into the cabin with a panoramic sunroof.

Inside, there’s also full-grain leather upholstery, massaging front seats, an 18-speaker Bose stereo, and a rear seat entertainment system with two 12.6-inch display screens.

What Kind of Tech Features Does the 2024 GMC Yukon Have?

The GMC Yukon comes loaded with standard and available tech. A 10.2-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system sits on the dashboard and comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Satellite radio comes standard no matter what trim you choose. If you want to ditch the charging cords, the SLT has a wireless charging pad, and this trim also upgrades to a 9-speaker Bose stereo. The Yukon is a big vehicle, though, so if you want more speakers to make sure everyone can hear the music, a Bose CenterPoint 14-speaker system is available, along with an 18-speaker system.

Safety, Safety, and More Safety

The GMC Yukon didn’t receive any new safety technology for 2024 but don’t worry, it’s already loaded with advanced driver tech. Every model has forward collision warning, automatic braking, and lane-departure mitigation. This SUV also comes with parking sensors, which can be very helpful when maneuvering a big vehicle like this.

If you want some extra help on the highway, make sure to check out the Super Cruise hands-free driving system that’s available with the Denali Ultimate. It works on thousands of miles of divided highways, and when the conditions are right, you can activate it and take your hands off the wheel and your foot off the gas. Just make sure you keep your eyes on the road.
