Los Angeles is a city full of stars literally and figuratively. It’s a beautiful city full of health-conscious citizens, shops, and iconic sights.
If you’re visiting the city for the first time, you won’t want to miss seeing these iconic locations. It’s okay to feel a little touristy, this is your first time in Los Angeles, after all.
Hollywood Walk of Fame near Los Angeles
You can’t visit Los Angeles and not walk along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This is definitely a very tourist-packed location, but worth seeing at least once. You can find your favorite celebrity’s star on the sidewalk, check out the Grauman’s Chinese
Theatre, do a little shopping in the center, and take a break by having lunch at one of the many hot spots in the center. Be careful not to be tricked into hopping on a bus for a tour to celebrities’ houses because there are a few illegitimate people who try to take advantage of tourists. If you do decide to book a tour, make sure it’s with a credible agency or business.
Seeing the Hollywood Sign from afar is one thing, but it’s even more amazing to see it in person. There’s a small parking area within a neighborhood where you can leave your car and start the trek up to the see the sign.
Depending on the time of year you visit Los Angeles, make sure to bring a jacket because the higher you climb, the cooler the air will be. You can’t get right up next to the sign because it’s roped off for safety reasons, but you can still capture some memorable photos and check the sign off your bucket list.
